Ted Greensmith-West

Experience

Prior to joining Brookfields in 2022, Ted appeared regularly in the Waitangi Tribunal representing claimants in various inquiries and worked for the Crown in resolving Treaty settlement disputes between post-settlement governance entities, territorial authorities, and Crown agencies. Ted’s experience as a Policy Advisor for Parliamentary Services means that he has valuable experience of the Parliamentary process including the operation of Select Committees.

Ted has experience in a range of resource management and local government issues, including marine and coastal area matters, roading law, enforcement, resource consenting and planning, and matters between local authorities and iwi.

Ted also advises on the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act for both applicants and objectors.

Ted believes in providing excellent service to his clients and achieving lasting sustainable management outcomes for New Zealand’s environment.
